Bambino Quick Vermicelli Pulihora 100gm

Bambino Quick Vermicelli Pulihora 100gm

Bambino is a well-known brand of vermicelli (also called seviyan or semiya) in India. It is available in various types, including plain and roasted versions. The vermicelli is made from hard wheat semolina (suji), not maida, and is naturally healthy and nutritious.

  1. Roast the vermicelli (if not using pre-roasted). In a pan, add 1 tsp of oil and fry the vermicelli until it turns light golden brown.
  2. Cook the vermicelli. Add 1.5 cups of water to the roasted vermicelli and cook until the vermicelli is tender and the water is absorbed. Alternatively, you can boil water separately and then cook the vermicelli in it.
  3. Prepare the tempering. In a separate pan, heat the remaining oil. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add chana dal, urad dal, green chilies, curry leaves, and asafoetida. Fry until the dals turn golden brown.
  4. Add flavor. Stir in the turmeric powder. If using, add roasted peanuts and cashews to the tempering.
  5. Combine. Mix the cooked vermicelli with the tempering. Add salt and lemon juice and toss everything together until well combined.
  6. Serve. Garnish with fresh coriander if you like and serve hot or cold.
